Every Color can look good on You
We really loved what Catarina had to say about Makeup (check it out here). And because we know exactly what she means, we would just like to say:
We would like to thank you for sharing your story and your feelings about makeup.
I just want to let you know that we’ve all tried to imitate someone else and when we do, almost always, we all land up looking out of place, so it’s not just you.
Let's face it: we are all unique in tone and features and special that way. So my advice is: don’t imitate but instead adapt. Adapt things to you or even better yet: create things for you.
It’s true we’re not all artists when it comes to makeup and when it comes to choosing the tones, but we can all learn.
The good news is that every color can look good on everybody; you just need to know how to pick the tone of that specific color that looks good on you. This means that we can all look good in pink, but we need to find the right pink according to our features- the pink for our own unique skin tone, eyes and hair.
When we are not used to seeing ourselves in a certain color, my advice is to start off with a lighter, less vibrate version of that color and then when we are totally used to it, go bolder. Take it by phases and enjoy the makeup!
Even though there isn’t just one simple makeup rule for selecting the most flattery shade for you on all makeup products, you could try complementing your makeup products shades with your skin undertone and usually, this is a safe bet. Warm tone makeup flatter people who have warm undertone skin and cool tone makeup matches people who have cool undertone skin. And there are also people who have neutral undertone skin and they look good with warm or cool tone makeup. So understanding if you have a cool, warm or neutral undertone, is a safe way to get closer to colors that flatter you most.
Most important is to Have Fun with makeup, make up your own rules! Try new things on yourself and if you want to know more tips on how to choose the blush, of lipstick that flatter you most and how to combine colors between them, try our makeup experience. – see here for more information.
Be happy with what you like!
