Testimonio De La Vida Real: "...Hoy Me Siento Completa Cuando Me Pongo El Maquillaje. Hermosa, Femenina, Capaz. Yo."
Being an immigrant's daughter forced me to grow and to mature very quickly. I barely had time to settle down in a certain place, get to know people, create relationships... I prioritized other things and taking care of my skin and makeup was very much at the bottom of the list. I became an adult without acquiring a beauty routine. I was a fast and practical person! Which was often misinterpreted with being a tomboy.
I matured, as did my skin and one day, I looked at myself in the mirror, already in my late thirties, and thought: "I need to be more feminine, I need to find myself”.
That day I bought myself a mascara. The first time I painted my eyelashes was funnier than a stand-up comedy. It didn't have any instructions and there were no devoted YouTube videos. It was an adventure.
I notice that people look at me differently when I wear makeup. They give me more credit. But maybe it's because, today, I feel more complete when I put on makeup. Beautiful, feminine, competent. Me.
